Smoked Virgin Mary

The Bloody Mary is one of the world’s best-known cocktails, prized for its ability to jumpstart even the groggiest of mornings. The Bloody Mary has persisted as one of the most popular drinks ever created, and a pioneer of savory cocktails. Removing the vodka turns the Bloody Mary into the Virgin Mary.

  • Celery salt or bitters

  • Lemon juice

  • 4 ounces tomato juice

  • 1 teaspoons prepared horseradish

  • 2 dashes Tabasco sauce

  • 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 pinch ground black pepper

Recipe

  1. Add the to tomato juice to a mason jar and place the Skull & Cinder smoker on the jar, ignite your chosen wood chips, and allow smoke to fill the jar fully.

  2. Slowly remove the smoker to avoid disturbing the smoke and seal the jar. Let the jar sit while you prepare the next steps.

  3. Add all other ingredients to a shaker and finish by adding the smoky tomato juice.

  4. Shake gently to combine and chill

  5. Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice

  6. Garnish with 2 green olives and a chili pepper (optional)

    • Alternatively, put the olives into the empty mason jar and smoke them in the same way you smoked the tomato juice. Let them sit in the smoke for 3-5 minutes before adding as a garnish.
